FRESHMAN: KENDALL SCOTT

FORTUNATELY MR. SCOTT HAS GRANTED ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO INTERVIEW  HIM ON HIS INSPIRATIONS, ASPIRATIONS X FUTURE PROJECTS...OKAY I KNOW THE MASSES HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS..WELL HERE IT GOES JUST A LITTLE INSIGHT OF LIFE'S ARTIST KENDALL SCOTT!!!

Stumbling through my friends on Facebook, and blogging simultaneously I noticed a piece commented on by one of my closest friends. The piece was of graffiti elements but also had a classy artistic feel to it. Wondering who did the piece I clicked on my friend’s page to find that the artist was a young man by the name of Kendall Scott and with that x a friend request this began:

What brought you to start drawing? 

I always loved drawing, even as a kid I would draw on walls... my walls lmfao.

Where do you reside and where are you originally from? does this inspire your art?

I currently reside in the Bronx but I was born in Queens.

 Urban society inspires me really ranging from, fashion, to actions.

Right now the world I live in shapes my talent. 

I see works from legends like Kaws, Shepard Fairey, Mat Benote, x Banksy, and say to myself these guys are great but old, so then I turn to the younger artists that are emerging and look at their works. What separates you from the other young artists creating works now? 

I produce my art to not only make you think about the world you live in but yourself and if you really know who you are.

Would you define yourself as a freshman? Or someone deep in the game? 

These are the best years before you get caught in your own style and work, I’m constantly looking for inspiration and networking with other artist. 

You know I had to ask man what’s your definition of art?

Art is life in its simplest form

My name is Kendall Scott, I am a artist, skateboarder and lyricist 

I have a great love and interest in Asian culture 

I listen to all types of music and will be attending HOSTOS Community College in January for multimedia

With the talent I have now and the skills I will receive in the future I hope to one day design clothing of  free expression and Awareness…

And that he will do. You see what separates Kendall from the other artists I have seen is the time, and effort he puts into each and every piece he does. By taking one look at his pieces and you can tell that he does his this art shit very well. Excuse me for the language but Scott does his f#@%king thing…

This fall I will be working with Kendall on a collaboration between FLS(Flashionave) x his series Mr. Rabbit. Stay Tuned…..HARD WORK WILL BE RECOGNIZED.
